Install Software Update Point in SCCM

Software Update is essential in SCCM if you want to deploy Microsoft patches. WSUS is the backbone to software update point site system role must be created on a server that has WSUS installed. The software update point interacts with the WSUS services to configure the software update settings and to request synchronization of software updates metadata. Here’s how

  1. Verify that you have WSUS installed
  2. Install Software Update Point from SCCM Console. Click Next then Next


3. Select Software Update Point


4. Select WSUS to use ports 8530 and 8531 then click Next and Next.


5. Click Next


6. Click Next


7. Set desire sync schedule then click Next


8. Click Next


9. Click Next


10. Select then click Next


11. Select the products you want to patch


12. Select the desire languages then click Next and Next
